sixty second edits

slogan

We all agree over-editing is out.

But there’s a reason the experts you look up to are grabbing attention online and growing their accounts fast.

The key : outrageously simple touches that give their expertise the edge.

No hours lost on one clip. No editing team.

A few gentle techniques are all it takes to create the vibe and brand aesthetic you’ve always wanted, make your content feel unmistakably you, and put your expertise front and centre.

In just 30 minutes, we’ll take you step-by-step through three core editing techniques that you can apply time after time to give your content the edge.

This is a crash course in editing modern talking head videos (or yap videos)

The foundations

We kick off with the editing foundations that become the building blocks for creative videos:

  • Zooming in and out for movement, emphasis and hooking your audience

  • Removing backgrounds cleanly to create depth

  • Rotating images for a more dynamic look

Then you’ll create 3 edits, step by step

  1. Emphasise Your Expertise: edits that elevate your expertise and make your message stick, including scrolling backgrounds, layered articles and more.

  2. The Branded Background Zoom: a hook that grabs your audience in the first second.

  3. The Swirling Background: a moving image backdrop that instantly lifts your video, whether you want whimsy or a clean, cool vibe.

Bonus

  • Aesthetic Fonts: an easy-access list of the best fonts, so you don’t waste time hunting for your vibe.
